Philosophical questions help us examine the assumptions and responsibilities behind what we know and build. Media gives these inquiries public forms through writing, images, sound, design and conversation.

At S&H Media Lab, young people bring these perspectives together through questions, research, projects, creative work and public dialogue.

We believe the next generation should not only learn to succeed within existing systems, but also develop the intellectual independence to question, interpret and reshape them.

Curiosity, rigor and a sense of responsibility to the world are the qualities we hope to cultivate here.

We look back to understand how knowledge was made, look around to see how it shapes human life, and look forward to ask what more responsible futures might require.
