Hockey Vision Pro

When the game becomes a field of personal evidence

Hockey Vision Pro turns multi-camera recordings into tactical maps, player dashboards and scenario training. The project is not satisfied with collecting more performance data; it asks how evidence can become a judgment a player understands, challenges and returns to practice.

The Question Behind the Work

A coach can watch the team, but cannot see every decision made by every player.

Fast team play produces more movement and tactical information than one observer can retain. Video preserves the match, but raw footage still leaves a player searching for patterns across position, timing and technique.

The project explores a personalized layer between recording and coaching. Its challenge is to make analysis actionable without allowing benchmarks and algorithmic suggestions to become unquestionable verdicts.

Following the Research

Following one play from camera view to training decision

The system reconstructs the rink, separates tactical and technical signals and then reconnects them through a repeatable player workflow.

01

Reconstruct the Field

Multi-perspective video produces a top-down view where density, transitions and decision points can be compared across a complete sequence.

02

Read Technique and Position Together

Skating, puck control and shooting metrics sit beside heatmaps and decision trees so individual movement remains connected to team context.

Return Evidence to Practice

Scenario simulation transforms analysis into a rehearsal that can generate another attempt and another record.

From an Idea to a Form

What should a player dashboard explain?

The interface organizes real-time signals, historical trends, tactical heatmaps, action decomposition and professional comparison as connected views rather than isolated scores.

A player can move from an alert to the footage behind it, examine the tactical context and choose a scenario to practice. Explanation becomes part of the system’s usefulness.

A metric becomes knowledge only when a player can connect it to a decision and test it again.

Why It Matters

Why this project matters

Hockey Vision Pro matters because performance systems increasingly shape how athletes understand themselves. The project makes a useful distinction between a measurement that describes an event and a judgment that should guide a person.
